Serena and Louey

What do peacocks, stars and spectacular mountain views all have in common?

Serena and Louey's wedding day! This vibrant couple planned their entire wedding from the West coast and executed it in flawless fashion right here in the mountains of ole' Virginny!

Serena's gown was unlike anything I've ever seen. Totally unique. Totally gorgeous. And she ROCKED it!

The amazing Emily Garbee was on the scene for hair and cosmetics, turning each of the gals into runway-ready masterpieces using peacock feathers, skin jewels and a lot of professional know how.

The B&G had a HUGE wedding party: 30 in all.  Each of the bridesmaids wore different styles of that perfect Little Black Dress while the guys sported black tuxes with peacock feather boutonnieres. The ceremony itself was a fascinating blend of Irish, Jewish, Christian and Alternative customs. The Bride's veil blowing in the wind coupled with the streaming sunlight gave the whole affair this fabulous ethereal quality.

If this picture had a name, it would simply be..."Joy"
Look at that expression. I absolutely LOVE it.

Tell me this is not one hip and FUN group of folks. Note the vintage umbrellas and trilby hats:

The cuisine at the reception was fantastic; appealing to both the eye and the palate. The ladies at  Avenue Foods did a fabulous job (as always)  creating this lovely and deeelicious spread.
The awesome live music was provided by THB (The Homegrown Band): Highly talented musicians playing highly danceable tunes. The dance floor stayed full all night!

There were definite touches of that stylish NorCal flair scattered throughout the day, including Serena's happenin' dance dress.

That's just Cool ;)

Well, I have about a ka-jillion more awesome images from this special day to finish editing, so I'd better quit blogging and get back to work. My sincere congratulations to Serena and Louey on a beautiful wedding day. May all of your wedded days be as joy-filled and bright as your very first!!!
