Okay, I'm a weeee bit behind on my bloggin'. But Easter with the family was AWESOME! And I have pics to prove it :0)
As always, the food was plentiful and deeelicious. This year's main course was melt-in-your-mouth beef tenderloin, cornish game hens and VA ham all freshly smoked in Dad's commercial smoker (there were plenty of excellent side dishes, too, but didja SEE all the MEAT!?) *ahem* The tenderloin was rubbed with herb-infused olive oil, sprinkled with garlic salt and fresh ground pepper and smoked to a beautiful medium rare temp. And check out the exquisite presentation:
Desserts as far as the eye can see
Ev enjoying HIS Easter dinner...a plate of crackers. Sometimes, you just gotta keep the peace, you know :0)
Gratuitous insanely adorable Maisie pics
A picture that I find hilarious. My sister with a dog on her lap. Notice that she's not touching the dog--the dog just happened to jump on to her lap. Her expression clearly say "Ohhhh-kay, why is there a dog on my person?" Cracks me up!
Mom's flowers were in bloom
Easter Egg Hunt! The big kids hid 'em and the little kids found 'em
Big Kids conspiring
Little kid finding!! W's reactions are SO much fun to watch!!
Ev loudly expresses his opinion on the whole ridiculous concept of egg hunts...
...until being swung around in circles was included in the game. Then it was all really fun!
There are no pictures of the ENORMOUS plastic egg fight that took place after the hunt. The photographer was heavily involved in the action. But it was really something. This picture shows the colorful aftermath of the hard-fought battles. Be forewarned---it's a pretty graphic shot...
Hee-hee!
Uncle Roy, Diablo and a glass of wine...when these three things come together, all is right with the world
It has become a unique family tradition that Q will lose a tooth on a holiday. Easter was no exception!
Em and Ev taking a walk with Ev's giant white chocolate bunny in hand
Austin, doing what he loves to do
Maisie with Mam-maw and Pap-paw
Another wonderful Easter with the family. Memories created. I'm so thankful.

It was a fantastic day, for sure!!
Thanks for the Easter post. The pictures are fantastic. It was a beautiful, wonderful family time together. There really have been a lot of family get-togethers, and thus, memories made here on the farm. And, hopefully, there will be a lot more to follow. Can hardly wait for the next time we are all together. If little Maisie gets any cuter, I'm just not sure the camera can capture it!! Love Mom
